POSITION SUMMARY
This role requires a strong combination of strategic supply chain leadership and hands-on operational execution. The Supply Chain Manager will be a net-new position at Parklane, responsible for building and leading the company’s supply chain discipline from the ground up.
The successful candidate will establish supply chain processes, systems, and team structure to support Parklane’s continued growth and increasingly complex project delivery requirements. This includes oversight of vendor selection, supplier performance management, contract negotiation, logistics coordination, and the development of a shipping and receiving function.
This role will serve as a key cross-functional leader, working closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, and Finance to ensure materials and services are sourced efficiently, delivered reliably, and aligned with business objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supply Chain Leadership & Discipline Development
- Build and lead Parklane’s supply chain function, including procurement, logistics, and shipping/receiving operations.
- Establish supply chain strategy, processes, and governance to support scalable growth.
- Develop internal workflows, documentation, and performance standards across supply chain activities.
- Hire, manage, and develop supply chain team members as the function grows.
Vendor Selection & Supplier Performance
- Lead supplier identification, evaluation, and selection processes to ensure quality, cost, and reliability.
- Develop and maintain vendor scorecards and performance metrics.
- Conduct regular supplier reviews to drive accountability and continuous improvement.
- Build strong long-term vendor partnerships aligned with Parklane’s technical and operational needs.
Vendor Relationship Management & Negotiation
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key suppliers and service providers.
- Manage vendor relationships, issue resolution, and escalation processes.
- Lead contract development, negotiation, and renewal efforts to optimize commercial terms and mitigate risk.
- Ensure supplier agreements support project schedules, quality standards, and cost objectives.
Logistics & Materials Coordination
- Oversee inbound and outbound logistics to ensure timely delivery of materials and finished goods.
- Develop and improve shipping and receiving procedures, including coordination with warehouse and production teams.
- Ensure efficient flow of materials to support manufacturing and project execution requirements.
Trade Compliance & International Shipping
- Manage customs, import/export documentation, tariffs, and trade compliance requirements.
- Ensure Parklane remains compliant with all applicable regulations related to international shipments.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to global supply disruptions, duties, or regulatory changes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to align sourcing decisions with technical specifications and production needs.
- Work closely with Project Management to ensure supply chain readiness for active projects.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities in collaboration with Finance and Operations leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience leading procurement, logistics, and supplier management in a technical or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of vendor contracts, negotiation practices, and supplier performance frameworks.
- Experience with shipping/receiving operations and logistics coordination.
- Familiarity with customs, import/export regulations, tariffs, and trade compliance.
- 7–10+ years of progressive supply chain experience.
- Prior experience in a leadership or management role, including people management responsibility.
- Experience building or scaling supply chain processes within a growing organization is strongly preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS
- Standard working hours, with extended hours periodically required to meet operational or project demands.
- Combination of office-based work and time spent in shipping/receiving or manufacturing environments.
- Occasional travel to supplier sites or logistics partners as required.

Pay: $100,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
