New branding, a new website and a bright future for Parklane

When we set out to reimagine the Parklane brand several months ago, our thoughts turned to the many ways our company has evolved over nearly 30 years in business. We thought about the people who have steered and driven our growth. And we considered how we could deliver even more value to our clients.  

While we didn’t expect to reintroduce our company in the midst of a global pandemic, we were reminded throughout this process of the resilience, determination and passion for innovation that have helped us achieve so much. They’re the same qualities that helped us weather the worst of the COVID-19 storm and will carry us through until this crisis is over.  

So, without further delay, I’d like to reintroduce the Parklane brand and website.

A bold new direction

For us, refreshing our brand identity and reimagining our website was as much about reflecting on the past as it was looking ahead to the future. We know that we’ve built a strong reputation in our industry—designing, manufacturing and installing custom noise-mitigation systems for industrial, commercial and institutional clients—but it’s our company culture and service approach that have defined us.

When Greg Downey first started designing noise control solutions on a modest workbench at our family home on Parklane Road in Oakville, Ont., his goal was to build a truly client-focused company. He wanted to take the complexity out of noise attenuation, which can be a daunting burden for facility operators and project stakeholders to manage, especially when issues rise unexpectedly—as they often do.

That commitment to turnkey service delivery, as well as the in-house expertise that we leverage to tackle virtually any noise issue our clients may face, have been critical to our success. Those qualities also encapsulate the value that we provide to customers, which we’ve summed up in our company tagline:

Noise control. Simplified.

Put simply, we’re the bridge between the engineer or consultant who highlights a noise issue and the facility owner who needs the problem solved as efficiently as possible.

We take what can often be extraordinarily complex noise challenges and deploy our comprehensive project management process to analyze, design and implement a customized, end-to-end solution that ensures desired outcomes every time. The fact that we guarantee results explains why our customers rely on us to manage their most challenging noise control projects—everything from on-site retrofit to new-build applications.

It’s not only about what we do

A major part of this rebranding process was focused on considering our ‘why’: the reasons why we do what we do, based on our core values.

Perhaps one of the most important is our belief that noise should never derail a project’s on-time, on-budget completion. We want to enable our clients to focus on managing and growing their businesses—leaving noise control to us. Put another way, we’re committed to helping clients reduce costs and maximize profitability, and guard against potential liability and risk, while making it easier for them to maintain high-performing facilities free from unwanted noise emissions.

A family company powered by skilled professionals

Of course, none of this would be possible without our incredible team, whose hard work and dedication to excellence have been the backbone of our company since its inception. We’re a proud family business that’s been built by great people, from our mechanical and structural engineers, 3D CAD specialists, and system designers who provide complete lay-in support to project engineers, to our skilled manufacturing and administrative support professionals. Their commitment to excellence is our competitive advantage.

Our new brand identity and messaging is intended to underscore the engineering expertise and project experience they bring to work every day. Our website will help us further reinforce that message going forward. How? is a platform designed to highlight our products, services and detailed project-management processes. But we also plan to use it as a tool to showcase the ideas and expertise of our various team members, many of whom will be contributing blogs and other content in the months ahead. We’ll be sharing news from Parklane, including our client success stories, and a range of insights into everything from breaking industry developments to new innovations in areas such as facility sustainability and design.

Expect new content every month, as well as engaging conversations on social media where we’ll focus on these topics and more. Our goal: to deliver interesting, relevant and informative content that keeps our clients and partners engaged and on the cutting edge of noise mitigation and engineering.

Although we’ve been in business for decades, we like to think that we’re just getting started. And we can’t wait to see what’s in store for our company and our customers in the years to come.
